Home Office
Perhaps the most popular use of a garden room these days is using it as a home office. With more and more people now working from home, it makes sense that people would want a dedicated space to work from. When extending your home is not possible or affordable, going down the garden office route is a sensible choice.
Where a Sonic Box Studio really excels is in situations where privacy is key. Perhaps you are a consultant discussing sensitive information, or you have a busy family and just want a quiet space at the end of the garden to carry out your work. A Sonic Box Studio provides you with a soundproofed office that you can dedicate to your work, or perhaps combine with a home gym if you have enough space.
For most office spaces, we would recommend either going for the SB-1 or SB-2 models. These specifications offer improved soundproofing properties over a conventional timber framed garden room and can be combined with bifold or sliding doors for a better connection to the garden.
Depending on the exact use of your space, you may wish to install appropriate acoustic treatment to the studio. Acoustic treatments include items such as mineral wool wall and ceiling panels, diffuser panels, bass traps, isolation pads and heavy curtains. Applying the correct acoustic treatments to your room will ensure that your music can be heard correctly, without sound reflections or vibrations effecting the quality.
