Sonic Box Studios is founded by the people behind Miniature Manors. With years of experience designing bespoke garden rooms and music studios, the goal was to create a range of high performance studios that look great, can be assembled quickly and will stand the test of time.

Friends, Richard and Luke formed the company in 2022, with a vision to merge their skills and expertise to produce a new garden room product, more suitable for musicians, producers and audio engineers. Working with acousticians and industry specialists, they are continuously developing new designs and techniques to provide customers with the best possible studio to meet their unique demands.

Richard was surrounded by carpentry from a young age thanks to his father. Richard trained as an oak framer, but his career was paused by a serious hand injury. During his recovery period, Richard and his best friend began building playhouses – inspired by his father who built wendy houses for prestigious families including royalty. He then moved in to creating high quality garden buildings, setting up one of the first garden room businesses in Sussex.

Luke is a chartered Architectural Technologist with a passion for all things design related having also studied Product Design at university. He is also a keen music producer, DJ and music lover - The perfect customer for a Sonic Box Studio. Luke has worked with Richard at Miniature Manors for many years, assisting with the design team on their bespoke garden room and music studio projects.
